We are a residential charity that offers a fresh start to homeless unemployed young adults and helps them gain employment and accommodation. These young people may also have misused drugs or alcohol, lack self-esteem or been involved in crime or are ex-offenders.

Amber helps unemployed homeless young people, many with a history of drug and alcohol abuse, having been involved in crime and in many cases ex-offenders, to transform their lives..

Well away from the pressures of their previous environment, Amber’s residential centres give them the time, space and support to sort out their problems and gain the social, emotional, educational and practical tools required to find direction in life, work, accommodation and a sense of their own self-worth in the community.

Being residential is key, providing a supportive and encouraging environment with structure and boundaries, positive peer support and practical activities so young people can overcome their problems and feel valued and motivated as they work at turning their lives around – and 80% successfully do so.
